Course Description

This intermediary course for FileMaker 17 covers the creation of a Document or Content Management solution from scratch. Every nut and bolt will be shown to foster a better learning experience. New FileMaker 17 features like found set portals (master-detail layouts) will be used to create a single layout the interface. Other topics include container storage methods, opening and attaching containers, notes portals, container revision history, thumbnail view and much more.

John Mark Osborne has been working with FileMaker Pro for over 30 years. He earned his FileMaker Pro degree working on the frontlines of Claris technical support. John was the Technical Lead for FileMaker, serving as an escalation path for other technical support representatives and writing a large portion of TechInfo (now called Knowledgebase), their technical information reference. John also acted as a liaison between the technical support department and the FileMaker development team, reporting bugs, attending product meetings and acting as resource for the development team.John Mark is best known as the author of the popular FileMaker Pro web site Database Pros. John Mark launched a hands-on training class based on his Scriptology book and it has become so popular that it is now taught at MacWorld Exposition in San Francisco and New York. Most recently, John Mark was one of twelve trainers in the United States authorized to teach their new FileMaker Training Series of classes.John Mark has been a featured speaker at the FileMaker Developer Conference for 15 years. I am NOT a developer, I just want to learn a new software that really does something , instead of all the other software that cost on a few Francs (dollars) just something to do during my retirement to keep me in form , so to say The course was very entertaining to do , some parts were beyond me , but after a new playback was really self explanatory , and afterwards very easy to follow : I had some problems with the script but again playing it back a few times helped me , It was not , I repeat NOT the problem of JMO or the video , the problem was all me ! to slow to learn - but this is my third time with this video and it gets easier all the time Very well explained and thought through , very professional work from JMO - and excellent projected.
